Kevin Buhr
Camp Director

Buhr begins his first season as the assistant volleyball coach for the SIUE volleyball program.

Buhr joins an up-and-coming SIUE volleyball program which also named its fourth head coach in the history of the program as Leah Johnson took over in April. He most recently was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Kansas.

At SIUE, Buhr will oversee the training of the team's setters and middle hitters. He also will assist in the coordination of the program's recruiting efforts.

He has coaching experience in numerous areas, including the development of defensive specialists and defensive scouting of opponents.

Previously a head coach for the Lightning Volleyball Club in Eagle, Colo., from 2006 to 2008, he was an assistant coach for Division III Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., in 2005. Buhr served as a volunteer assistant at Missouri State from 2000 to 2003. He has extensive summer camp as a coach working for such summer programs as Alabama, Colorado State, Florida State and Kansas.

He earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Missouri State in 2003. He is pursuing a master's degree from Kansas.

Kendall Paulus
Assistant Camp Director

Kendall, a former Iona College standout, begins her first year with SIUE. A four-year letter winner, Paulus started at both outside and right-side hitter for the Gaels from 2005-08 while serving as captain her final two seasons. Paulus earned MAAC All-Academic Team honors each of her four years and was the recipient of the Iona Volleyball Merit Award as a senior for her work on the court, in the classroom, and her service to the community.
